About Us
Alice Rose Fun Run began in 2011 as a way to remember Alice Rose Carey who died in 2009 age 9 from an auto immune disease. Alice had many long stays in GOSH, in return for the amazing care she received we raise money every year towards providing accommodation and facilities for families who live in the hospital for months even years. We also give money to Radio Lollipop Charity who provide play and respite across all the Children’s Hospitals, they left a big impact on Alice who would fight off anyone who tried to enter her hospital room except for them as she knew they would bring something fun.

Alice was a Coppermill pupil. She loved colouring and jigsaws. The rainbow fairies and High School Musical.

It is amazing to see our local community, friends and family come together every year to continue to support us and this important cause. We are forever grateful for everyone who gets involved in any shape or form.

Laura Carey
Sadly, Alice Rose's mother Laura Carey passed away last October after developing a rare form of Pulmonary Hypertension. Despite a difficult couple of years Laura was dedicated to the Alice Rose Fun Run and is the primary reason for its success year after year. We hope to make her proud this time around.
